GE-Force 7300 GS OC HELP!!!!!

hello all... got new PCI-e card, 7300 GSOC for x-mas from GF... installed new card and now BF2 plays like i have an old patch( =laggy, cant move well, y'know??) re-installed video drivers, un-installed bf2, re-installed BF2, and patch 1.41... still crappy!!! is this card just not compatible with all my other crap???? help!!!!!!!!!!!

Athlon 64 3200+ CPU
1GB PC3200 Crucial RAM
Above video card (old one was a 6600 GT, worked well)
on board sound

what to say...7300gs is really not the greatest card

and im only 70% sure, but i think ur 6600gt is a better card

I am not sure which is the best drivers for that series card. I do know that the 6 series & below cards are best played on the 8 series drivers. I use the 84.21 drivers & gameplay is awsome. You may have to wait till someone confirms if the 8 series support yours & then dload the 8421's.

PS u did uninstall the old gfx card drivers before pluggin in your new card right?

But the previous card u had 6600GT was waay better, why downgrade? Secretly get the money back for that card, ur GF wont know a diff, hopefully she not too computer literate.

Yep, the 6600GT was waaayyyy better than that crappy 7300GS. The 7300GS is a Low End and is not meant for games like BF2. You should've researched before getting a new card.

7300gsocxtx (add whatever letters behind you want) is still an inferior card to a 6600 series card (the 6600gt was an especially great card). it will still be an inferior card next week, and the week after. updated drivers will not help, whatsoever.

ebaying your 7300 to some poor schmuck + a little research are your best options at this point.

edit: the good news is that your gf (if she's a typical female) will never know the difference if you ditch the 7300 and get a mid-end card. i'm planning on upgrading our home pc (the one that ties into skype/packet8) to a core2duo system (complete overhaul) in the next few months, my wonderful wifey none the wiser, other than I'm tinkering with the 'puter and tweaking again.

thanks you guys... the good news is that i still have my 6600 and im ****in stickin er back in right now!!!! thanks ps. anyone want to buy a 7300??? only used for 2 weeks, huh???huh??? lol jk
