Currently I have just installed BF2 off the disc and downloaded the FULL 1.41 patch but a message box comes up when I try and install it saying error -5001. I would really appreciate some help here as my current version is so out of date that there are no ranked servers available to play on! Thanks in advance.

if 1.41 wont work try putting 1.4 on then 1.41 if that doesnt work stick to 1.4Comment

I'd try a fresh download of 1.41
Also make sure all your windows updates are done and that you have your virus detectors turned off while you are trying to update.Comment
