Eh... I think that's the kind of map you either love or hate. I'm not very fond of it. Tends to lag inside and can get very boring if the US holds the carrier and the choppers dominate. I think IO has helped Iron Gator allowing more MEC to board, but then the stairway camping begins. I always have such a hard time distinguishing between the Seals & MEC uniforms... they look so similar! Just my opinion.

I'm a personal fan of Ghost Town, Mass Destruction & Surge.... pretty much any map the Spetznas are on.

I'm getting bored of Warlord - every movement is so predictable. I find Karkand even more enjoyable
My favorite map atm is Ghost Town but that may be due to the fact that you don't see a lot of servers with other SF maps running. Personally I can't stand Iron Gator. What's the point in attacking the carrier?
I got my veteran pistol badge on Night Flight, I think it's a great map and deserves more attention. Leviathan is great too, but I haven't played for a long time => no servers running it.

I always avoid Warlord/Ghost Town where possible. I might stick around if its in the rotation but I prefer Leviathon/Surge/Mass Destruction. I do go on 1 Warlord server when I'm lazy and want to amass some commander points other than that I look elsewhere, just a pity most of them are German

You know what they need a few US servers not UK US and have them play all night maps I know there is servers that do that but there never populated I love the 24/7 Devils Perch when it is populated but I rarley ever get on it.

If you can fill your server up... I've seen so many warlords though its not even funny. If you were to play all 64 man size maps with helos on them I'd idle in them just to fill them up.

SF still has a core group of supporters (me included). Looking at Game-monitor.com at ~ 10 pm Central time US, BF2 has about 14,500 players, of which 1,128 are Special Forces. The most popular servers often run in either a 24/7 Ghost Town or Warlord setup. These maps are the "Karkand" equivalent in SF in terms of close quarters daylight action. Personally, I also like Mass Destruction (64 player map). Surge is OK. Night Flight is a balanced night map.

Yes these 2 maps have the most players, that's because they are the only 2 maps offerred on 80% of the servers. I lover servers that cycle through ALL SF maps, but most of those servers are not heavily populated, and you have to wait around for enough people to join so you can play!!

So lets push for more map variety in SF servers!!!!

I have to admit...I love ghost town. I can NOT get enough of it. Its...i hate to say it...its better than kharkand. But Wh0relord...cant stand it. It so friggin retarded. Oh look, they took the TV plaza. Ill let my teammates go up the stairs first...there is gonna be a claymore. (5 seconds later) BOOM!

I actually havent gotten to play devils perch or iron gator. Levithan is fun...when there is 64 people on the server. Me, i prefer no vehicles. It sharpens your/my skills. Im glad though, because there are no choppers. None. No M1A1 Abrams, no wh0res in APCs. Just mauling with my DAO-12.

Another thing i hate to say is that...i mainly like SF because...Ziplines and grapples. Yes, Zips and Grapples. I mean...you can get to pretty much any building now! (Execpt to the top of the TV station in Wh0relord...you gotta use the stairs...)

I've never heard of night flight...(Do not shoot me yet!)

^^^^ Yes, Ghost Town is by far my favorite SF map too. Both IO and Standard is fun. The non-desert feel, close city street & building top fighting is just awesome. If you are looking for some good GT IO, try the "addicted to games" server.

I hate ghost town now....i want some night maps . Devils perch is the best IMO i love sneaking around with my night vision its great .

Theres a group of really dedicated players in SF, routinely about 100 ranked and populated servers.
