Played the map yes liked the map no My fav map is wake and kit is engi I have about 40 hours or so on karkand and about 45 on wake I have stopped playing karkand and now play SF maps or Wake.

See man, people only play for there points, and Karkand is an easy way to get lots of them. What they dont get is that you will never been first no matter what, thats why I enjoy sniping in big maps and find other spots in different maps and not just foggy and dusty looking Karkand.

People just medic whore on Karkand I remeber once I was playing some guy had 150 points and only 3 kills he was just reviving everyone that died.

Nice one.
People play karkand FF off/ IO play it for stats.
People that play it straight up like the map.

I actually played Songhua(i think thats it) for the first time and i really liked it, but there are ZERO good servers.

am surprised no-one's mentioned jalalabad. this one rocks in many ways - whether u play INF only or with vehicles.

i agree with the majority here - being owned by a chopper or plane for half an hour isn't my idea of fun.

i know it's taboo - but i don't give a 'hovno' for stats, so at times i play knife-pistol only. the change in dynamics is startling. and quite enjoyable! imagine it were u on a 'main weapon only' or 'ordnance only' server. that would bring a welcome break to stat hoppin.

without being in a clan or playing team regularly, i might as well switch the PS2 on and quake em. the effin noobz chalkin up TK count or lone wolfing bring me down.

ps - 'whining' isn't winning!

I'm sick of seeing people type, "Don't play for points, play for fun... blah blah blah".

Who says some people can't have fun playing for points. I enjoy Karkand because I hate the flyboy maps which have idiots on either side just carpet bombing flags nonstop. There's no fun in that for an infantry player.

ok its a very simple thing to observe and realise.....

easy points = fun

if its spawn camping the TV station with the attack heli...raping the carrier with the j-10.......or any spawn-killing....etc....its ofr points......ive asked ppl doing this why they do it, and they say 'its fun'....ive done it, and honestly, its boring.....its not a challenge.....i wouldnt think shooting fish in a barrel would be very fun.......but it seems scientific fact, that easy points equate to fun in the mind of a nublet point whore.....

People like to make up excuses as to why they hate other maps, but love Karkand.

Yet they completely ignore that there are other maps out there that provide the same experience as Karkand, with only a fraction of the whoring.

People just don't like to admit that they're whores who've sold their soul to the Lobster God for a couple free revive points.

I play Kark less and less.

It used to be, "I have 30-45 to play..Ill do kark for some quick action on foot"
Now I try to do Oman, Mashtuur, Dalian, Wake etc..

You just have to play some Kark tho when you have a night to run 2-3 hours worth of rounds.
No other map, in all honesty, compares to it infantry with a little armor wise.
Simple push and defend 32 man with vehicles is the best balanced infantry/light vehicle/armor map.

Warlord. (2 Armor, 2 APCs)
Road to Jalalabad. (4 Armor)

Compared to Karkand. (2 Armor, 2 APCs)

I'd say they compare very well considering they're also city maps.

That would be like saying Sharqui is balanced.

A laughable statement at best.

The best Infantry/Light Vehicle/Armor Map is Mashtuur city. People don't play there because they can't grenade and revive spam like they can on Karkand.

Then there are the other people who are just sheep that happen to like popular things because they're popular. I imagine they're the same people who buy magazines because they think Paris Hilton's latest Baby Phat bag is all the rage.

I like sharqi more than karkand. I enjoy difficult landscapes, but karkand is my most played map ONLY because we don't run a 24/7 sharqi in my country.

When will those dumb ****ers learn..?

Oh well, karkand is quite fun with a decent squad, I guess.
