Karkand, Karkand, Karkand untill vomit!!!

i just wondering why most of people play this map, i know its very good map but why they come down with one map? there is many good maps, even if they like urban maps why they dont play sharqi then?
almost every player i saw stats, most played on karkand of course!(medic kit also)

the best example is -=RD=-Volx

coz they play the game for stats, if u played the game for fun ud be interested in other maps, even custom made maps

Because it's incredibly easy to rack up points.

You can spam claymores, grenades, bunnyhop and prone spam, and nobody will blink an eye, because it's the norm.

I absolutely hate that map.

with warlord is similar situation

but on SF is one other thing, not many servers adn if you will find any good server then they play warlord mostly.

I play it for fun and I have the most fun on Karkand. :)

i play oman the most i really like the opened fire fights then some Cqc when capping flags.

Well I have 500+ Kark hours and yes now it makes me vomit.
I take that back..Karand IO makes me vomit.
Karkand 32 man with vehicles I still enjoy.....somewhat.

It came down to this for me.
When i log on Im "rusty" feeling...the fast pace of karkand gets my reflexes going.
But the downside is sometimes it can suck you in, a 30 minute warmup can turn into a 2 hour ordeal.

Also, theres no attack Heli. I sorry to say but there is no vehicle in the game that is as powerful and dominate as attack choppers...and in no way do i feel I should spend 30 minutes getting pummeled by 2 guys..which is why IMO sharqi blows. Now you could say "play Mashtuur then...thats true..but the problem with that is that its more of a sniper magnet then Kark, and it really sucks when 70% of your team are snipers on roof tops. Shongua (sp?) is good, yet theres a huge lack of populated servers with it in a steady rotation...plus that those damn mountains at eithier end kinda blow.
IMO IO sucks ***..but I would like to see an option that allows tanks/transport/fighters..I can deal with those 3 options without pulling out my hair then some guy flying a bomber in circles clicking a button and gaining 5 kills or some guy flying 400+ meters up TV missling every thing that moves while being out of AA range.

Say what you will about my Kark hours, but I respect what Ive done there.
As you can see in my stats I didnt Medic whore it one bit (which problably could have earned me 10 more ranks) I didnt resupply whore it (3k in 500+ hours isnt whoring) I didnt nade whore it (2k nade kills all together in my 1k+ hours) And I wasnt one of those tools camping alleys in a tank (93 armor hours)
Sure I did whore alot of support time, but when i first started playing Bf2 I always died reloading hehe, so i said "I need a bigger clip".
Also I didnt knwo the leader boards just meant "who has the least amount of a life" which made me want to be top support player...which ive long given up.

A lot of players are also impatient. The same thing happened in BF42' the two city maps were played almost exclusively by some.

People miss the old shooters they used to play. Quake, HL, CS what ever it was, it had man to man action as it's main attraction. Mine was RogueSpear (Urban Operations) series. It took me a while to figure out the Battlefield series was something completely different.

People join a Dragon Valley map and say: "where is everyone". Too impatient to figure out it's not going to be that type of game but has other strongpoints , they simply don't play the map.

You can blame the point/rank system for some of the fervor for playing Karkand all the time. It's true some want action, but as was said some want points. Don't track, display and reward points and the motivation for them dissipates. It's especially the cumulative points that attract players to servers with action.

Everyone want to be the top player at the end of the round (most). But when those points are accumulated there begins to be a need for that highpoints game , every game.

I believe if it weren't for the points/rank system a lot of these players would simply relax and play other maps. They can't all be that impatient. Especially since the game has so much to offer on the other maps.

They get locked into a cycle of playing, looking at their stats and then playing again. When they join a big map and it doesn't result in nearly the same advancement in points they feel they're losing ground. Ground on what I have no idea, but that's how they feel.

I'm guessing the reason is Helo's. Same applies to Warlord. I'm a Warlord whore and I love playing that because there are NO helo's

Why is there not a 'whining discussion' board???
Im getting sick of it, every other thread is 'whinning'
I used to come to general discussion to learn lots about BF2, now i just see whinning/moaning and the likes.............
I still love BF2, IT IS A CLASSIC.... but the whinning and crying is getting me down :thatsbad:

I think there should be a whinning/kids section on the forums??
