Lol that is merely strategy. The goal of the game is to win the round, correct? People just don't want to die because they are self concious about their stats being ruined, so they abuse their power to kick anyone who gets in their way.

We have no attacking uncaps but sheesh that is lame isn't it. Trouble is a lot don't know the difference between base raping and spawn camping. That's why we chose no attacking.

baseraping to me is not in that photo - i don't consider firing into a capable base while not being in the flagzone "baseraping"

Definetly not base rape, Its not even spawn camping because the armour is not directly attacking the spawn point. Like Chodda said, its a strategy and i see nothing wrong with it.

I consider baseraping attacking a flag that uncapable of being turned. The hotel flag can be changed therefore it is not baseraping. Could be a slight form or spawn camping but I highly doubt that as you wont see anyone spawing in front of you. Bottom line, the admins suck.

I always fire from way off at a target I'm heading to, on any map.

The uncappable flag is an advantage over the enemy, in that it is a guaranteed marker that can be counted towards ticket bleeding your enemy. If you see an uncappable as a disadvantage, than perhaps you should trade your team in for one that isn't completely helpless or self-serving. Because you probably lost all your flags, and have been trapped.

Making the uncappable flag unattackable is perhaps the cheapest, and lamest 'legal' rule in this game, as it prevents the enemy from effectively utilizing their tools to it's fullest. This is espectially unfair on stages like Sharqui Penninsula, or Karkand where the Uncappables provide a VERY unfair advantage to the team that has them. (MEC has three on Sharqui for christ sake!)

You completely hamper the entire purpose of the Spec-Ops class.

You completely ruin any chance of the enemy has at stealing an enemy's plane, helicopter, tank, APC, AA, or any other vehicle that happens to be stowed away in an uncappable spawn. A viable tactic that is encouraged as fair play, not discouraged.

The power initiated by this 'legal' rule, is something that is questionable. How does one 'define' an attack on uncappables? Can it be done from the air? What if you attacked an enemy plane over an uncappable? What if it were an enemy helicopter who was camping there? What if the enemy was camping there with a sniper? Could you attack back?

Luckily there are plenty of servers out there who allow me free access to an enemy's UAV, Scanner, and Artillery. I myself hate getting kicked by an Admin, simply because I blew up his UAV while he was commanding.

                        I recently went to a server where the rule was;

"Spec Ops must walk into uncap (no vehicles), may blow up assets, but have to leave right away - no stealing uncap vehicles or planes".

Yeah.. so I 'walk' in.. blow up his stuff. 3 seconds later, he drops a magic box down to repair his UAv. So I hang around to refill my ammo and blow it up again, and his artillery. 20 seconds later - the same thing - the magic box floats down and the admin says "Ent, get out of our uncap. rules say you can't hang around".

I return later, blow up his UAV, then hide from an APC that is hunting for me. Next thing I know I get kicked because "I was hanging around in uncap".

Welcome to BF2 nowadays. Stupid rules and stupid admins.

While not "illegal", that is a lame way to use armor, ppl will sit there all round, & never attempt to cap a flag, & they won't move up until the ihfantry takes a flag

Infantry doing all the work to make it safe for armor to move up, that is so, so, sooooo sad

                          :)

Re: Does the photo illustrate base raping

The only thing I agree with about anti base raping rules is I play BF2 for FUN. If you are inept enough to be on a team full of pathetic players, being stuck on a carrier while you get bombed to pieces is simply not fun.

Yes winning is also fun, but personally I prefer a game that comes down to 1-0 with hard fought battles for each flag and each ticket. I hate 230-0 wins.

Another thing that irks the crap out of me happens especially in Karkand. You'll generally find the tanks and APC's of the USMC spawn raping the Hotel in one road, while the tanks and APC"s of the MEC in the other road, like 20m over, spawn raping the hill.

Uh, guys? a little help here? Please go thump their armour with your armour? But no. It's just "ooooh, lokkit my kill death ratio!!!111".

One thing I personally LOVE doing is grabbing the M11-87 and running up a higher score and better KDR than the tank or APC guys. Not easy, but with the right flags under your controll and some luck, you can get it right.

itd be hard for the admins to decide cuz bf2 donest really have a good spectator camera, and the admin was prob thinking that..ok theres an APC killing a bunch of guys in the Hotel, prob spawnkilling/baseraping, but if he/she saw that pic that u have, its def not baseraping cuz ur view distance is too low
