Thats the whole point behind PRM.. Try running and jumping with a rifle and 100 pounds on your back.. I bet you would be tired pretty quick too.

            Well here is your realism.

            (Playing As USMC)

            Everyone:

Pistol: Officers carry pistols, and pistols only. Sorry LT, your going to start ending up dead ALOT more.
Knife: Only if its your personal knife.

            Assult:

M16/M4 maybe a shotgun, Not your choice.
Grenades: only for the grenade launcher, no standalone grenades.

            Medics:

Not allowed to use crew serve weapons. I.E. : Machine Gun mounts, AA mounts, AT mounts.
Shock Paddles: Hell no! There may be one in the vehicle though. (although I do understand why they are in the game)

            A/T:

You carry 1 AT4, and it stays on the vehicle...not your person.

            Spec-ops:

You have cool ****...but still use the M4

            Support:

            You have the M249...thats it.

            Engie. (mechanic)

You dont go out on foot. You stay in the rear, and do your repairs. No shotguns either.

            Sniper:

You are very few and far between. Claymores, theyre wired...not motion sensors.

            Helo pilots:

You dont change much. That apache is a bad mofo!

            Plane Pilots:

            You dont change much either.

Well, thats about all I can think of right now.

            -d3

Is this some imaginary list you made up? Because I have been to war...twice and it is so far off base it isn't even funny.

As far as people that cry about bunnyhopping, go play PRMM, it was made to cater to your type of play, BF2 is an arcade game, devolopers said so, and you are in fact...wrong.

Re: To those who want "Realism" in their BF2

The officers in my unit qualify with both the M9 and the M16. My WO1 qualifies expert pretty much every time with the M16, shot Hawkeye last range.
They've been sending more and more guys to sniper school recently because they have found that it is quite demoralizing to the enemy to see people struck by rounds and not know from where they came.
I have no idea who told you Combat Lifesavers can't also use crew served weapons. Seeing as there aren't any dedicated medics in the USMC, only Navy Corpsmen, the "medics" are most likely CLS qualified personnel. Those guys are regular troops who just have extra training.
When I've been deployed, I've been issued a bayonet that happens to be a fairly large utility knife. Most people get them, they're dead useful. And when I was in the 82nd, every jumpmaster had multiple knives in case we had a towed jumper they had to cut loose.
Granted, there aren't a whole lot of M203s assigned to a platoon usually, but I HAVE been issued M67 grenades as well as trip flares, colored smoke, and star clusters. That's what the little pouches are for...

Project reality mod is the best I've played.

If you dont work in a team then forget it you're dead.

                    So realistic.....just plain class.

Re: To those who want "Realism" in their BF2

I think that EA and Company are missing the boat by going so heavily weighted into the Fantasy Quake end of this game. (Also believe that 2142 is a poor mod of BF2 sold to make additional cash)

They still had a good number of money making opportunities that were squandered with modelling additional armies, maps, etc.... This requires a decent amount of realism to accomplish. Unfortunately they were very short sighted and thought that BF2142 would be better.

Many more game modes that could have been created, Differing expansions should have been intergrated into the main bf2 better, etc....

Shame they gave a half hearted effort with BF2 and moved on so quickly with BF2142. Which is failing in comparison to BF2.....

They could have introduced a more realism based ruleset and made money from it.....

PRM is a very good mod for realism seekers....

                        done and done.

EA it's time to give these guys an SDK. Just think, you will MAKE MORE MONEY selling copies of BF2 for people now getting into PR. And we all know, money is the reason for living...

                          wow...

bunnyhoping/dolphin diving is a proven tactic to avoid fire, and it works really good. Doing the reverse would just be setting yourself up to loose. The reason people hate it is because its harder for you to kill them, you just want it so people stand still so they are easier to kill, and people won't do that. just look for a second, your the one that got killed, so YOUR the noob for NOT bunnyhopping/etc. Again, this is BF2, Telling someone to stop bunnyhopping in BF2 is like telling someone to stop bunnyhopping in quake, it's not going to happen and it's retarded. People feel like they have to jump because they want to win, and I dont blame them, seeing how well it works. If you want to sit on your dumb crane and have everyone stand still, go play some single player bots. kthx.
