Wow..

I wasn't sure how to react to this, so I thought I'd post and see what the population had to say..

I was playing OCS last night; spawned quickly and had dibs on the vehicles so I figured I'd give the F-18 a go. As I make my way over to it, another player spawns and starts to run for it, so I back off and let him have it. I notice however, that he's not taking off and that he's just sitting in the jet. I then see another player who has spawned as a Sniper w/ the M95 looking directly at him.. and we can all guess what happened next..

..except, it didn't. The guy in the jet proceeds to scream "Go Away!!" (must have been some 10 year old kid), to which the Sniper replies "Hurry up and take off, stop sitting there!", but still the player in the jet just sits there and again shouts "Go Away!!!!!! Go Away!!!!!!!!" Finally, after about another 30 seconds, the Sniper shoots him out of the jet, hops in and off he goes.

At first, I was angry to see a TK for a jet, but then I got to thinking.. if the kid in the jet wasn't going to move and deny the team a valuable asset, was the Sniper justified in killing him to get things moving?

Wrong of the pilot to sit their and isolate a valuable tool the team needs; wrong for the sniper to encourage such actions as teamkilling for a vehicle. Its definitly a weird situation, but no matter how you slice it, both were doing wrong. Who knows what childish player watched that scenerio play out, maybe next time he wont hesite to instantly kill for a vehicle.

thats a typical childish runway blocker...trynna force a TK..any decent server admin would have him banned......the pilot didnt TK him so he TKed the pilot....no win for pilot...



find a better server, or tell an admin

Normally, I'd agree, but the odd thing here was that he (the Sniper) was not on the runway, he was off to the side and telling the kid in the jet to take-off.

Then again, who knows what he would have done had the plane actually started to roll down the runway..

Was on Dalian as China and one of the players that had been padding for about 4 rounds with a couple of other players took 1 of the J-10's and sat at the end of the runway where the tank spawn is for nearly the whole round. I was commander and he kept trying to mutiny me (he was obviously needing the time and the kills, Arty while in plane counts as kills in plane) The FF was off so we couldnt do anything about it. Anyway one of my mates joined and told him to go USMC and where this guy was.....he got 4 kills before the guy twigged:)

Agreed. Let the person who can actually fly do the flying.

If there is a spare jet then I'll have a go. If someone else wants it then they are welcome to take it. If they can't fly then stuff em.

That sniper did the right thing, if he is denying the team their air power and he wouldn't go there was nothing wrong with it. The sniper obviously was a mature player, he was obviously willing to wait his turn but the little n00b wasn't doing anything, and he was talking so its not like he had to go AFK for a sec. I think the sniper did the right thing.

Happened to me on Fushe some time ago. Wanted to get one of the jets when our commander was sitting in it doing nothing at all. I told him to get out several times, of course he didn't so I left with another vehicle. After my next death I spawned as sniper, shot him out and took it.
