Unable to connect to server

This is my problem:

I am trying to connect to a specific server that I always play on. 3 days ago I started getting this message...

"unable to connect to server. Please check your network connection and try again"

I choose another server and it works fine. I thought it could be a firewall issue. I make sure bf2 is an exception and it is.

I turned off the firewall and I still have the same problem. I searched this forum and there were a few old threads like this but with no replies.

If anyone has any insight on this it would be appreciated.

what server is it? maybe the server is down

The server is up, and there are people playing in it. I checked using http://www.game-monitor.com/

When I am in the server browser. I find my server and it's ping is 999. I am unable to join. I get the failed to connect message.

anyone have any ideas? Sucks I can't play on my favorite server

help?
