If you're MEC, try using the RPK-74 for starters... As time goes on, and you have the PKM unlock, fire in single bursts... I usually end up killing the enemy in 2-3shots... Try not to blast with the PKM, it gets pretty inaccurate unlike the RPK-74.

For USMC, i'd say the M249 saw is a neato weapon to use. Once you've gotten the hang of Support class, the weapon of choice becomes a preference thing.

At least works with M249: When you have distance to your target, go down and fire bout 5 bullet bursts without sight. At least 2 will hit.
When CQC, go down, without sight, aim for upper chest/head.

the only advice i can give here is to practice. the sights arent lined up with where the bullet goes. as mentioned by others use quick bursts to over come recoil. when used properly this gun can be a beast. i went through a stage when i just played support and just racked up so many kills with the PKM. Now ive moved on to other kits.
I selected support for a change the other day and i'd lost the technique completely as they're so different to the asault rifles.

Same here..

I used to go like 40-2 or something EVERY round with support.. now that I go medic, or some other kit every time, I kind of lost the technique.. but I just need to use it more again.. I still know how to use it good, it just feels weird now.

I agree. I prefer RPK over all in close combat, PKM for mid-long range.

I think RPK is good for both.

RPK is my fav. support gun but I never play MEC

So I use the PKM alot.. but RPK is probably the best.

Here's something that might help that I do for support guns.. Just put a tiny 1-2 pixel dot on the dead center of your screen (as small as possible) with a highlighter or washable marker. Helps for AT too. Some may think it's cheap, but whatever. Nothing is wrong with it. Basically it gives you a feeling of having a dot scope or something but in the center of your screen so you can still shoot accurately without having all that **** blocking your view, and the iron sights aren't accurate anyways.

Isn't there a program that can do that? I'd like it because I like playing with hud off and it would kinda enable me to do that. There would be a general center of teh screen but no super psychik (sp lol) crosshairs showing accuracy.

W/ the RPK-74 I get in close, prone, 2-4 round burst kill, stand up, take a step forward, or to the side, prone 2-4 round burst kill, hop prone, 2-4 round burst kill, in rapid succession

rinse, repeat

I can go ALONE in to the USMC uncap in karkand in the beginning of the round when it is LOADED w/ enemy soldiers, & pull this manuever @ popping up, & down thru a crowd, & kill 5-6 guys before they take me down

Or do circles thru the mec spawns getting spawners, & "pissed off" soldiers that have respawned gain

I call it "run, & gun", you keep moving forward @ all times, & poping up, & down, you never stay prone for more than a second, & you don't prone w/ proners face to face, you shoot down on them, while circling around them, & the beauty of it is you never give snipers a time to arm a gaymore in front of you

When you are 1v1 w/ an assault guy who is accurate you can "circle strafe" him standing up w/ the RPK-74

W/ the PKM teach yourself to fire ss @ long range, & throw all 4 greandes @ groups, & run so that you have time to go thru the long animation of switching back to your primary weapon, even if you only kill, 1 or 2, you will scatter them, so that you can isolate them into 1v1's

Spam 'nades from protected, but obvious usual 'nade spam points (killing some spawners), then move away from that spot to avoid the "counter 'nade", & then prone, & zoom @ the choke point where they will run in to exact revenge, when you kill them then move in for the spawn, or flag

When you prone, real close to a guy, start shooting @ his knees, & work your way up as you stand, this negates all the problems w/ hit detection, & animation lag

Do not prone in the middle of the street, always keep a natural barrier on 1 side of you so that it is hard for you to get "double teamed"

W/ the RPK-74 the short stone wall is your friend, shooting standing over the wall (while maintaining lateral movement), & hop, & prone over the wall, & hopping back are legitimate techniques

The alley is where you shine, you can take down whole squads like dominos, or bowling pins on full auto, just remember to let up once in a while to overheat your gun

You can out snipe snipers w/ your first, or second shot (ss), but if he isn't dead yet MOVE

in my most humble of opinions

btw I played 1 round in A[o]W IO this morning, & quit in the middle of the round to go to work w/ 30 kills, & 6 deaths this morning utilizing these techniques
