Updating from 1.1 to 1.41

I download the 1.41 full patch and installed it, but when I start BF2, it still says 1.1 in the start bar and in the top right of the game. Any ideas?

If you were installing it atop 1.1 I'd imagine it would take a considerable amount of time (to install) did it take awhile for you? Once finished did you get a little popup saying 'Patch installed successfully' or something akin?

jusat ignore that... how many servers do you have when you click multiplayer, if it is 1.1 you will have like 10-50... if 1.41 has worked you will have 900+

1.1 in the control panel is quite normal. It is regarding something entirely different. If you installed 1.41 you are good. If you need to prove it to yourself, find the BF2.exe and get properties on it. Check it's version. 1.41.

Patch 1.41 - Ingame version will be > 1.1.2965-797.0

Hmm, I installed 1.41, had a successful install message, and my version number tallies with the one Scinto listed, yet I still get only about 48 servers listed when I connect.

Tried reinstalling BF2 but no luck, any suggestions anyone?

Paradoxically that gives me even less servers, only about 18 to choose from now! :/

Hmmm, I don't think so, it seems to be in the accepted running programs, probably worth a closer look though.

Does the version shown in the game match what Scinto posted (1.1.2965-797.0)? Do you have any other filters checked besides the ones Scinto listed?
