Depends on the PC, and the monitor.

I find it hard to believe xbox would look as good as my 21" CRT running BF2 at 1600x1200 with all bells and whistles and 2xAA.

Infact I know it doesn't look as good, since unless you just went out and bought the newest Samsung LCD TV or the newest Hitachi 1080p Plasma it can't possibly be as detailed and crisp. I don't even think an XBox takes advantage of these higher resolutions anyway.

I just bought a new 50" plasma for the living room, I have no desire to see what BF2 looks like on it, because it's max rez is 1366x768. It would be bigger, but much worse in detail and picture quality.

Yes, and the PC version is more like a LONG timewasting thing, which also makes you invest many dollars into a game that's pretty much dead.

On the bright side, however, if you do put a lot of money into your rig, you can play a wide variety of much much better playing (and looking) games on the PC.

Consoles are dead.
