I have been on this board for a couple of months now and I have seen some real hatred toward EA/DICE. Some people complain about the hacks, stat padders and cheaters some people just want updated patches.

Why don’t EA/DICE care about peoples concerns or questions?

Who gets the money from ranked servers? EA/DICE????

Why do people get so mad at the company and continue to play the game?

I guess the ultimate question would be – Why would EA/DICE care or do anything about cheaters if they continue to get paid if there the ones that get the profit from ranked servers.

If EA/DICE are getting the money from ranked servers, why don’t they update the game?

Thanks for reading and maybe I can understand where all the hatred is coming from. I agree there should be some real change and oversight for the game but I also realize it’s only a game that should be played with fairness along with having fun.

Please your thoughts would help...

to be honest I haven't had one problem with this game ever since i started playing since V1.22..it has been a blast for me..2142 on the other hand gives me every problem there is lol...

I came here when? January 10th or something. In one year Ive become from DICE fan, into DICE/EA ... well not exactly hater, but close. That should say something.

I dont play BF2, nor BF2142, but I plan on doing so again after I upgrade my PC. I will play it just long enough to find another suitable game for me. Tom Clancy tactical shooters I heard to be a buggy mess aswell. SWAT5 will not be made, or is a long way to wait to. Which leaves BF2 mods, BF2 itsself, and a few newcommers. I will most probably just stick to POE2 though.

Only one time and did you ever download 1.3 becuase I would crash daily on that it would be a good day if it didnt crash.

yes been playing since 1.2 and never had a CTD problem^^only freezing but that was do to a sucky video card not the game...

The only thing I don't like about company's such as EA/DICE is that they have a game (BF2) with SO much potential and to have a larger userbase. And they keep releasing these sh*tty patches.

EA (Dice have been bought out by EA now) now pays little attention to BF2 and its community. It is clear that EA intends to stop its support for BF2. Therefore they listen to people's concerns because they don't want to act upon the communities wishes.

Money from Clans or Communities gert paid to a Server Provider MyIS for example after this point I am not quite sure where the money goes.

This is most likely because they love the game, but when you play any game for a long while you do notice it faults. The 'most' people complain is because they want the game to be flawless and perfect.

Pricelessly which is why a lot of people here have lost confidence in EA as an institution. It reminds me of corrupted mayors around the Mafia's era.

Because updating and releasing patches costs money and the almighty dollar is what runs companies. Therefore spending more money on updating isn't a good idea in their eyes.

This is why subscription games are almost constantly updated because you pay regularly you expect a high quality of support.

I dont hate either company per se. 1.3 was possibly the worse patch I've ever used for any game. The current CTD is just about bearable, its a pi$$ off when you maximize and you hear the dreaded heartbeat.

Counter-Strike: Source. I think it's gonna be 3 years since it's been released now? And Valve is still supporting it plenty well.

I've been playing for a liitle less than a year, and as well have found the game quite playable and haven't been plagued by crashes or anything like that. (I can't remember 1.3 specifically).

As far as FPS games go, I find it runs as good if not better than most. I don't necessarily think a game company is as accountable as (for example) a producer of O/S's or enteprise wide applications, to get things perfect, due to the impact of bugs, and the cost of the application. To be quite honest I don't think I have EVER come across a perfect game, or ever will. Especially the more complicated they get. The more complicated a program gets, the higher the possibilities of bugs/glitches/exploits etc..

To answer the inevidible question, no, I don't work for EA or Dice.... :laugh:

Seriously releasing patches does not cost that much money, and if they'd actually listen to the community then the patches they released may actually be worth whatever they have to spend on them. They make so much money it isn't even funny. They slave drive their employees, and then we get ****ty patches. They fired people who work for SF, so now we can't expect no SF patches, and then they released the worst patch of all 1.41 536MB for a 6MB fix, that wasn't even noticeable. I've yet to see one damn thing that they've fixed.

The J-10 is unbalanced, fix it, The SF Choppers produce lag certain times FIX IT, there is an exploit on Sharqi which allows you to glitch into the Hotel FIX IT. Theres a problem with the TV Missiles that has existed for god knows how long where it misfires, or glitches and does not fire even though it says you have a missile FIX IT.

Theres a hack that clearly works since I've seen it more and more, and is actually undetectable by Punkbuster. When Verifying client data pops up, it should actually do what it says, this way people can't cheat! Its a simple system, and the hacks people are using do a lot more then aim bot.

Ban the whining GSA Chat Junkies known is the [BBQ] Clan, who accuse people who kill them with the AK-101 of cheating.

I never liked Dice after 1.22 i play the game because i have nothing better to do. but another reason i dont like them is that they force the ROE on every server and limit the power of admins.

and they are never able to fix gameplay issues like tha j-10 f35 immbalance.
