CTD Need help

I have no idea what the problem is. I have a CTD right after the screen goes black. I have tried installing on another profile, I have upgraded to the new patch, I even patched in the d3dx9_24 to d3dx9_28 files into windows/system32 and even dowloaded the safedisc update from macrovision.

I am running:

Toshiba laptop
XP Service Pack 2
Intel Processor 1.7ghz
1G RAM

I have no idea how to check my other specs. Thanks a lot guys.

What graphics card have you got? Right click the desktop and go to properties, it will say your monitor name and your gfx card. 1.7ghz CPUs will struggle to run BF2 unless it's a core 2 duo/solo.

Found out my graphics 'chip' can't run BF2. It's a Intel Mobility Chipset Family thing. And suggestions on a new video card that I can put in a laptop?
