    Problems getting start??

Ok my friend has BF2 and I was playing it at his house I thought it seemed like a really cool game so I went out and bought it. Ok I have the requirements to play the game over 20 gigs, 1 gig of ram, 512 mb video card, and Intel Celeron 2.93GHz processor. Ok I am pretty sure from what I read earlier thats enough to play the game but when I start the game up it flicks on and off. Now when I say flicks on and off I am not talking about quick these flicks go into a black screen where only the mouse is visible at time then cuts the monitor off then cuts back on and you see the screen with the mouse sometimes then sometimes not. I think it has to do with the black and white movie playing in the background but still I shouldnt be having this problem if I have all the requirements. So sense it does this I havent even be able to make an online account yet because it takes about 15-20 minutes just for me to get the part to fill out the information then the problem makes it about impossible to fill the information out. Does anyone have any clue what and how I can fix this problem????

Try renaming the entire movies folder (bf2 install dir\mods\bf2\movies) and see if that helps. If it's struggling there, it will almost definitely struggle worse ingame. Also, what video card is that? Video memory doesn't matter if your graphics card sucks.

What graphics card do you have? When you go to control panel>then click on System, how much RAM does it say you have? Im thinking that you have turbo cache on your video card.
