i was just thinking today while using a grenade launcher....is there a correct way to use the sights (the magic floating colorful sights, not on the gun, obviously)? it looks too complicated for there to not be a method. i never really thought to try and use it in any particular way, i just kinda wing it and ive gotten good at it...

Re: GL sights
There isn't a correct way to fire the gl. The sights may represent certain distances, however your target distance will always vary in according to how high/low/near/far your opponent is.
If you are in prone position, you need to raise your sights more than if you were standing up. If your target is 50m below you then you need hardly raise the gl at all.
The gl is something you need to learn from experience. It takes a while, but it is a very handy weopon that comes in useful often.Comment

Re: GL sights
Well, I have a bit of advice for you, but since it is almost 3AM here, it'll have to wait for tomorrow. PM me if I forget this thread though, or if it is not active. I have a 70% accuracy rating with the GL and approaching 3000 kills, so I can tell you a few things about hitting people 100 yards away while they are moving.
PM me if I forget.

Edit: Well, one nugget here: Most of the time, it is better to not try and hit the target. Hit the wall behind them or the ground around them and quick switch to the AK and squeeze a few out. Hitting the target with the GL is only important if you are trying to hit a racing jeep.Comment

Re: GL sights
I think it's so the grenade goes in more of a straight line. Sometimes it can leave the gun at awkward angles if you just fire it while running.Originally posted by GrumsresI pretty much got the hang of it. I dun really see the use of the leaf sights. Any idea what's the right click and zoom feature for?Comment

Re: GL sights
It depends where you are really. But for level and fighting from top to bottom (i.e trying to take out snipers on a building) you want to aim so that the bottom of the "crosshair" is directly on them (the exact bottom). This usually gets you a direct hit. For downwards shots, you need to use the top of the sights. I've never really used the middle for anything...Comment

True, sometimes while moving and firing my 203 round it goes off in a bad angle.Originally posted by DuffManI think it's so the grenade goes in more of a straight line. Sometimes it can leave the gun at awkward angles if you just fire it while running.Comment
it's also usefull when you can't take the time to aim but want to move on quick.
