Install issue (C drive not D drive)...Help!!

Im running battlefield 2,i want to install this addon,I have a partioned hard drive.When i go to install special forces its not finding the directory which BF 2 is in(C Drive).Which is the bigger partition.Because its giving me the error that not enough hard drive space(2400mb),which is not right.Where BF 2 is installed there is plenty.

Any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated.

You still require around 3GB of space on your C drive as the game stores info in the My Documents folder. Especially if you are installing Special Forces.
I know it's a pain in the rear end. It has caused all sorts of grief to me in the past.

Hehehe. Not really. You need maybe 5 kilobytes.

Download the Junction tool from Sysinternals, then go to My Documents, and create the "Battlefield 2" folder. Then use junction like this:

junction c:\documents and settings\username\my documents\battlefield 2 d:\BF2

This will leave "Battlefield 2" in My Documents completely empty, and all the files that are in there will actually go to D:\BF2. To delete the junction, you would type:

junction -d d:\bf2

Edit: This tool works for anything in Windows. For instance, you could move your entire program files folder to D, or even your whole Windows folder, and just use junction to create an imaginary folder. Not that this is recommended, there'll probably be problems moving the windows folder, but no problem with the whole of Program Files.

Wow...thanks man,i was getting totaly frustrated with this.Ill give it a shot.
I just look at it and installed program.I have no idea on how to use commands prompts.Ive installed now i left double click it and it comes up and then dissapears.I went into my d drive-documents and settings- then under my name - then my documents.There is already a bf 2 folder there with a dmp folder,LogoCache folder.mods folder and profile folder.Now I don't know if they were already there from before or not.Sorry im a newbie trying this.So now Im not sure next what to do.
