Never even noticed it.. where does it appear?

I'd imagine it removes you from the in-game voting queue where players initiate votes for kicking, changing maps, removing commanders, etc.

Options menu, and yes thats exactly what it does, :)

a few extra lines of viewing space that isnt blocked by some senseless vote

it will make you join the game after about 1minute or so, so you dont have to click the button

If you've ever noticed a lot of lag when you first log into a server for the 1st couple of minutes.... make sure the auto ready is ticked and don't choose join game, wait for it to start itself and there should be no lag:)

Not for me well, actually used to happen to me because I had 1 gig of RAM now I have 2 gig.

But if you wait for that 1 minute, won't that put you SOL if you're trying for a jet or helo or something?

If you're going to foot it, then sure, waiting a minute is no big deal, but that would be a significant disadvantage if you're trying for a specific vehicle at the start of a round.
