Yeah well a friend of mine not even a week back joined a damn server on accident, and the server was one where they enforce "Knife and Paddles" only, and he left. His stats were reset, rather it was just a glitch or they did it intentionally thats the only thing he can think of...

EA does this **** to small fries, and lets the actual cheaters go.. I am probably going to get banned for this but I think the BF2ROE thing is just something to give Indianscout some attention.. I honestly believe that managing that ROE **** can't be that hard. People do hard task like it everyday. Indianscout use to be cool on GSA, but he went corporate and let it go to his head. Now hes like a celebrity or something. Instead of doing something it seems to be more of a waste of time... Don't ban me, just delete the post.. However free speech would be nice to.

As far as stat being wiped, I mean yeah they have. ROE does do something occasionally. However every server, and every person I've ever reported has yet to be banned/wiped. So I mean its just a bit discouraging to report them. EA could do something about the servers that run knife and pistol only. All of them actually INCLUDE that in the name!

I'm sure everyone enjoys honest killing more than exploiting. And those who repeatedly and intentionally exploit to piss others off and try to get as much points as possible do not enjoy it.
Yes there is, and you're a fool if you don't see it. BF has bazillion other more or less exploits, which may or may not be considered cheating.

This isn't a gray area. The poster knows that glitching is wrong by his own admission. He chose to violate his internalized values.

Even if not directly addressed in the ROE, we all play by some values. For example, some players think shooting jets on runways/uncaps is lame and choose not to do it even if they could permanently ground the enemy air power for a round and rack up a crazy kill count. This isn't addressed by the ROE but is by the player's own values.

The poster is looking for an out so as not to feel bad about violating his own internal values.
