prefix tag

does anyone know how to type in a : (colon) into the prefix tag of your name?

i tried the ALT+number and found some weird symbols, but no colon so far. and it seems the ALT combo doesn't follow the ASCII table chart...

Yes you have do it do manually by going to the directory of:

1. C:\Documents and Settings\YOURNAME\My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\
2. Open Global.con there it would says it needs a program just use notepad.
3. Once you got that open there is going to be 2 strings but 1 says

GlobalSettings.setNamePrefix ""

.
4. Place your desired prefix in between the quotes. Close and save and open BF2 but on the login screen don't try to edit the prefix from there unless you want to take off or make it with the allowed characters.

I had to do that when adding a | to my prefix. Its pretty simple, just follow marios advice.

One more thing, your prefix is too long.

How is his prefix too long? If he hasn't said anything about what is he going to put.
