Re: M14?
That looks great!!
Not to be picky, but isn't the M14 actually called the M21 when it is in sniper setup??
I love having a semi with a big scope like that.

This is a chunk of the Wikipedia info on the rifle:

It was designated the XM21 until 1975, when it became the M21 (although it was unofficially called the M21 since December 1969).
The M21 remained the Army’s official sniper rifle until 1988, when it was replaced by the M24 SWS (Sniper Weapon System) bolt-action rifle.

But then again, Wiki does get it wrong sometimes....Originally posted by [R-DEV]Black BeretIIRC, the M25 was an experimental system which was at one point used by several special operations groups, but never really saw widespread use.
Haven't heard anything about it being used in recent conflicts. My understanding is that most of the "M21s" in use by US forces today are either refurbished M14s pulled out of armories, or newer civilian rifles built by various manufacturers which are later upgraded/modified by the soldiers who use them.
In our case, "M14" is probably the most accurate name to use.
