I recently purchased a new pc.

It's specs are:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ processor operating at 2.0GHz
2000MHz frontside bus
1.0GB of PC2-4200 DDR2 SDRAM, upgradable to 2.0GB
250GB 7200-rpm Serial ATA (SATA) hard drive
1 PCI-e x16 slot
250W PSU

What are your recommended video cards to get the best experience out of this game as well as future games?

P.S. My budget is in the $150-$200 range.

that will be a good card in your budget altho it is an OEM but you can easly download the drivers from the website and im guessing you already have a dvi cable? if not the retail version is here http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814143070

I aswell would suggest the 7900gs. You will need another 1gb of ram to run all high.

Specifically if you get the one indicated from BFG, it has a lifetime warranty. No small feat.

Silent and runs all HDR and lighting stuff simultaneously. should just work with that psu that states dual rail 2x18a max load


the nvidia 7900gs cannot run all options simulataneously, it is a class behind the x1950pro's

either the x1950pro or the !!!256-bit version!!! 7900gs (!!!NOT 128-bit!!!) linked above would be better choices than the x1900gt.

I have a similar system but with more RAM. I use the 7600GT and play 12I80x1024 at everything high but AA on 2x and average 80fps. Its under your price range $120-$140, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...&Go.x=0&Go.y=0

I would use the rest of your budget on another 1GB of RAM.
