    Dreaded Lost Connection!!

    Hi guys,

I am having serious trouble (as you can tell by me being here!) every so often I have serious problems connecting to servers. The level loads up to when you first spawn but as soon as i click join game it says ''there is a problem with your connection'' and goes back to the server list. I have tried to turn of my firewall and the thing with the task manager i cand do as i do not have the set affinity option.

    Any help greatly appreciated

Likelyhood is that you need to open the correct ports for BF2 to operate.

See www.portforward.com for info on how to do it with your router.

The best bet for wireless is to make sure that nothing is interupting the connection, and makre sure that you only have 1 firewall running at all times. If your using a 3rd party firewall such as Zone Alarm then it may be conflicting with Windows Firewall (they argue with each other over what to do with the data). You can tell if Windows Firewall is on by going to control panel --> network connections. If it is on, then the icon representing wireless connection to your Internet will have a picture of a padlock on it. right click on it and go to properties. then go to advanced and click Windows Firewall settings. Turn it off!. Go to advanced inside the Firewall screen and then uncheck all the connections it is monitoring.

            go to start > Run > services.msc

and scroll down to "Wireless Zero Config" > right click > properies > and set it to disable
