BF2 patches

Hi, I'm new and just got the game battlefield 2 delux edition.

I can play the game fine without any problems, but the only thing that I'm not sure of is whether or not I have to download all the patches.

When I try to play a multiplayer game, there are about 50 servers open, but when I uncheck the box that says "same version only" I get well over 700.

What new patches should I download? When I start multiplayer a box comes up saying "patch 1.41 available" but do I also have to install the previous patches too? They're sort of large.

Also, how long does it typically take to download this, 8 hours?

Yes it is the big bad of all patches and is all you need.

Depending on your DL speed from 1/2 hour to 2 hours unless there is heavy download traffic.

I downloaded it, but when I clicked run, nothing happened. Should I have clicked "save" instead of "run" when I begain the download?

A good piece of advice is to always save a copy of the full latest patch...this is useful for obvious reasons.

HELL YEAH.

I DL'ed, installed, deleted the patch. Then I go ingame, didn't patch. That's just one reason to keep the patch.

It's a good idea to save the patch and back it up to a disk so incase BF2 screws up (will be happening soon) you don't have to download it again.

Yer, when i try to download the patch, it says file complete before the file is fully downloaded and when i try to run it it says run, i click ok, then nothing happens.
please help?
i downloaded it to d drive where i have 10 gigs of free space ?
