Patch problem

I just bought BF2 Deluxe.

Installed BF2 + SF, version was 1.1.

Downloaded patch 1.41 full, installed, didn't give any errors.

Then I booted my PC, went to BF2, and what do I see? Version is still 1.1.

Why's that?

You run the patch and maby you just need to install the patch again.

Oh poopie, I deleted it already, after 1,5 hours of downloading.

If possible, it's a good idea to burn the latest patch to disk if you don't have the drive room to just store it. Saves time later when you may need to reinstall for no good reason (Thanks EA).

normally a good DL speed from multiplay. Or use EA downloader so you cant delete it afterwards.

Well I do have space, about 210GB left, I just delete everything after DL + Install.

I DL'ed the first patch (that I already deleted) from EA Downloader. What do you mean, "can't delete it afterwards?" Because I could.

Downloading new patch, from the link that Simon gave me in the other thread.

EA Downloader houses all of it's downloads on your computer and you can definitely purge them for space reasons. It's actually quite easy to do.

OK.

I've redownloaded the patch. Installed it, and oh poopz, still 1.1.

It says 1.1.2965-797.0 under the QUIT - button.

(The version is in the menu, upper right corner, right? )

Any suggestions?

And BTW, what was the command to show FPS ingame?

Try to just look for servers. If you see quite a few, see if you can join one. You are probably upgraded.

FPS (Frames per second):
ON: renderer.drawfps 1
OFF: renderer.drawfps 0

HUD (heads up display): (good for taking screenshots)
ON: renderer.drawHud 1
OFF: renderer.drawHud 0

Well, I can join and play in / on servers, but it still shows the 1.1 thingy.

that refers to a version of something else. Probably the menu interface or upgrade library version number. Pay it no mind.
