Re: Euro Force/special forces unlocks
What "unlocks" did you get? There are no new unlocks with EF, just SF. EF just lets you play a different army: the EU. (And note that this army already exists in vanilla BF2, just no official maps use it outside of EF.)Originally posted by cwood69I just recently bought both euro force and special forces.I play euro force and i get the unlocks and i play with them the n i try to go play regualr bf2 and i only have the guns i originally unlocked.
EF doesn't change any handheld weapons; it just adds a few new vehicles (some are just new skins for US vehicles).Originally posted by |CBW|Simonyou have all the weapons you had. EF just puts a different skin on them.Comment

Some of the first level weapons you have as EU have different skins as I suspected.Comment

Re: Euro Force/special forces unlocks
Different from what? If you aren't playing EF (or an SP unlock mod) you can't see any of the EU weapons in vanilla BF2 (except the P90 and L96 which double as level 2 unlocks).Originally posted by |CBW|Simonplayed it last night.

Re: Euro Force/special forces unlocks
You forgot the sniper rifle. It's also an unlock for SF. Tisk tisk, you know better Sun.
Originally posted by SunTsooThere's at least one BF2 unlock that's standard issue in EF, the MP90. So you might have unlocked this for BF2, but it isn't an unlock in EF. This isn't available in SF, though; so you'd get a different unlock choice.Comment

Re: Euro Force/special forces unlocks
Those aren't different skins, they are completely different weapons. Saying they have "different skins" would be like saying that the USA has different skins from the MEC and CHI weapons. It's technically true but implies that they are the same other than the skin which is not true.Originally posted by |CBW|SimonHere's the screenie of them. Medic, support, assault and engineer are not the regular skins nor sounds of anything in vanilla nor SF.Comment

Re: Euro Force/special forces unlocks
If there are hit charts that will show anyone at EA went to some effort to do little more than reskin some weapons and create new reload animation and sound I will retract. I bet these weapons from a statistics and hit standpoint are just reskins.Comment

Re: Euro Force/special forces unlocks
Look at Black_Duck's table (http://www.totalbf2.com/forums/showthread.php?t=56385 ) or bf2s (http://wiki.bf2s.com/weapons/comparison ). The L96 sniper rifle is pretty much just a reskin; it's basically the M24 with a thinner scope crosshair. The others are no more similar to USA weapons than the Chi or MEC weapons are. They have different accuracies, damage, magazine capacities, firing modes, etc.Originally posted by |CBW|SimonIf there are hit charts that will show anyone at EA went to some effort to do little more than reskin some weapons and create new reload animation and sound I will retract. Re: Euro Force/special forces unlocks
The HK21, HK53, and Benelli M4 are very nice weapons. I only wish there were more ranked maps using the EU army. Seems like a lot of effort creating new weapons, tanks, and aircraft for only 3 maps. I've modded several maps for SP/co-op replacing the USA with EU.Comment
OK I retract.
