"Backstabbed''??

I was playing in Karkand last night as a Commander.

This guy on my team would follow me around and give me health/revived me when needed. It was quite helpful actually.

I was in the middle of the street behind a bush and I spotted a sniper. He was too far to get with my gun so I just waited. I saw him come towards me so i threw a granade, I missed but he was close enough to engage so I jumped out and shot him. He got me first and killed me.

So the Medic that was watching my back revives me, the sniper inmediatelly kills me with his knife. This was repeated at leat 10 times!!!!! :cussing:

I was finally able to get a few shots off and kill the sniper.

So either they set me up, sniper was just glad to keep killing me or the medic was glad to get revive points.

Pissed me off since I couldnt command while I was getting stabbed :wall:

Meh, it happens. Just be happy that it ended and they didn't 'rage' you throughout the whole game.

some server rules...but theres no reason for commanders to fight...why?
1. you dont get points for kills or flag captures
2. Your team doesnt need you (even if they do, 1 person wont change that)
3. When you get killed you cant command
4. its kind hard to command well while running around

If you have "teh 1337 skillz" then why not?

The only time I fight as commander is when I see an open flag (away from everyone else) and I go cap it and constantly check my map to see anyone coming. Or when I'm commanding in Jalalabad, I'll hide and guard the Lake (usually rack 10~ kills just guarding, this is just to protect that flag).

Funny this came up. This happened tonight in a server I was playing in. Not sure if these sreenshots are proof enough for BFROE though.

I wasnt fighting along with my team. All but me and the Medic were on the other side of the bridge so I was keeping the sniper from taking a flag and giving his team a chance to spawn and take over more flags.


Didnt know you could "suicide", now I know.

Imo, kidnapping shouldnt be concidered as stat padding if it's not done to boost up the stats. Usually it's done to get some cocky little pecker back at, and return him to the planet earth from his cloud castle.

It happens sometimes, you revive a guy and someone immediately kills him. If he doesn't look like killing me, I'll keep reviving... for a while at least. It's freaking funny when it happens. I've had squadmembers in voip several times and usually we're unable to continue it for very long because we laugh so hard or someone kills us!
