I see loads of people take AT as their most difficult kit, that's because it takes actual graft to master and earn points with it. Not that much graft, mind you, just good use of cover and deadly accuracy. I tend to start sounding like I'm some time served coal miner when I talk about the work involved playing AT.
FN2000 would be my worst weapon. Every other weapon in the game I have at least a decent grasp of except for this piddly thing. Sights? Recoil? Can't get my head round it.
AT has great weapons. DAO-12 is thee superior CQC weapon in the game if wielded correctly. P90 is also extremely handy. Engineer has some shoddy weapons I'll give you that, although the MP-7 feels/sounds/looks lovely.
I suck with the S12K (MEC Shotgun), I once shot someone 3x in the face with this weapon and he did not die, he inturned shot me 2x with a machine gun and killed me right away.

I do fine with the machine gun, but when it comes to taking down vehicles they seem to get me first about 60 percent of the time.
I don't see why everyone hates shotguns. Since I discovered the S12K and Remington I haven't been able to get away from that class. I love popping out from behind a wall in the Warlord Palace and emptying 7 shells into the mass of claymore spammers and PKM whores running down hallways. I usually get 2-3 kills per clip this way. The American shotgun (and Chinese) are actually IMO worth taking shots with at longer ranges, I've killed someone at by the APC left of the American spawn point on Karkand with them, from the mounted machine gun. Sometimes the shells just go your way. Since you don't need to really aim a lot, you don't want to prone spam and you only need to see the enemy for the instant it takes to empty a shell into his face...
Good setup for the PP-19 is by a supply box and some other form of cover. Single shot from distance and full auto CQC.
You should never use single-shot with the SMGs unless you are out of pistol ammo or the range is >100m. The pistol does more damage and is more accurate, especially zoomed. The pistol is also less affected by firing while moving and rapid-fire. The main downside is that some of the pistol sights take some getting used to.

I love the semi-auto shotguns (DAO-12, S12k, EU Benelli M4) but I never use the pumps. Just too slow-firing.

That's why I said single at long range. But I guess me owning 7 people with it while sitting in the same spot doesn't count for much. Lol. PP-19 is sick nasty.

No it doesn't; anecdotal evidence from a small number of people is not convincing. If you practiced with the pistol you'd probably do better. The PP-19 has only one significant advantage over other SMGs and that is its magazine size and the P90's is even larger in addition to being more accurate. The only reason the pistol starts becoming questionable at 100m is because the damage starts dropping; it's still more accurate than any SMG.

I read info on secretsofbattlefield.com too. I'm not doubting you're superior knowledge of the weapon's system. I'm just saying, the PP-19 is a VERY under-appreciated weapon. Personally, I have had success with it. Which means, every one who plays BF2 has the opportunity to become decent with it. I never said anything about pistols, so please, stop bringing them up. I never said that the PP-19 was better than a pistol. I simply just said the PP-19 is overlooked. But I guess extrapolating opinions on the point of a thread reply is your specialty?
If you practice with any gun, you will become better. Logical, ain't it?
