    Fraps Lag Problem

Does anyone know any tweaks or settings I should put for Fraps to reduce the lag. It is tough to do well in a movie when you are jerking around like a robot. I never get the gold medal when I use fraps, and that is not something I am used to being kept from :) Thanks in advance.....

    peace out mo fo

Well you are accessing the disk when fraps is running so you could try saving your movie to another computer on your home lan.... might help.

defrag, play with fraps settings but the only thing that actually might help is reinstalling ur OS but I doubt you would do that for fraps?

there were times when I would get 50-70 fps with fraps recording

Ok, I will defrag, not gonna reinstall you are right :)
I might use the Ctrl Alt Delete close programs thing and run all my GFX on super low.
              Try some different stuff

You can try doing "Half size" instead of "Full size"

Try lowering some settings, i know its not ideal for recording a movie. But your CPU will be doing overtime, playing BF2 plus recording a movie.

make sure to put recording fps at "100" because thats what it will cap it at.

How! Probably your mates computer isn't that good and can't run Fraps on his desired settings. Although Fraps is a program that just uses everything your graphics card can give.

Fraps in my opinion is a very good program but that's just.. my opinion.

The prog ZD Soft game recorder use half as much CPU as Fraps does in idle :)

fraps works best when your recording to another hard drive. using the same drive the game is on is just going to make everything slow down. it also helps if you have a dualcpu/dualcore system so you can set the affinity for either program to run on its own cpu. though for a single cpu system it's best to just record to another hardrive, its even better when both hard drives are serial ata, because serial ata doesnt run on the pci bus like ide drives and uses ~5-10% of the cpu to transfer data depending on your setup. ide hard drives use 90-100% of the cpu for transfering data which directly impacts the game your recording.
