    Blindingly obvious

I have been playing BF2 since it was launched and like many am some what hooked on it, i have seen some bizarre things whilst playing on line and have suffered with the bunny hoppers, spawn killers and the current trend of grenade throwing on my favourite map J'bad.
But what amazes me is some peoples blindness to situation awareness, I normally start as a sniper and have nearly 4500 kills, but if the battle changes and we start losing flags i will change class and join in the fight ( normally pkm ).So why when the flags start going do others still insist on sniping when it's obvious that more firepower is needed.
Once in the J'bad town sniping has little use and you will not survive long on the likes of the hotel roof, so why not squad up! a half section ( 4 men ) with a couple of lsw weapons and a couple of assault will soon over run any flag with enough covering fire coming down from each other. Sorry to rant, that's the beauty of the game individuallity.Merry Christmas.:)

Whats more powerful than a headshot from a sniper, or a claymore positioned at an entranceway to a flag?

A sniper is perhaps the best class for defending a flag if not just as good as a Spec-ops.

    A L9A61/M95/M24/SVD/Type-88
    A Silenced Pistol (MR-444, etc)
    5 Grenades
    2 Claymores
    1 Knife

I routinely defend flags from full squads with an arsenal that powerful. After a claymore or grenade drops a few of them; unless they have a Grenade Launcher, and a UAV over my head, I doubt they'll be able to stop me when I start my Sprint + Pistol or Knife rampage. You'd be suprised at how many people will hesitate to fire because they're afraid of losing 2 points for team-damage, or 4 points for teamkills.

Isn't this like the ten millionth post about bunny hoppers, nade spammers, etc? yes they're annoying and spoil the game experience, I just switch servers when it happens.

I would say Support guy on a rooftop near the flag is best. I held a flag alone for almost a whole round on Karkand. I guess the UAV helped :p

It isn't a post about bunny hoppers it's about not giving fire support where it's needed.

I would say sniper is 1 of if not the best class for taking a flag. A lot of the time the other team won't notice until the flag goes neutral, couple of clays will take out at least 2 of them, 1 rifle shot 1 pistol shot combo does the trick, nades etc etc.
