Advise on ATI Drivers (X800 Pro)

Hi I just wanted advise really on people who have X800 cards or know what the best ATI Catalyst driver would be to use with my X800 Pro?

s its quite an old card maybe an older version driver work better with it , as I play BF 2 exclusively...Im more concerned about getting the best performance out of this... so any advise / experiences with different drivers ? Please share :)

Use the latest drivers, from what I hear, it's only really with nVidia cards that this matters. Of course, if you have problems you can try downgrading.

indeed. generally what i do is install the drivers with CCC (just in case i want to test something) and then disable CCC, and manage my video via ATItool .24.

in recent memory, the only time i've ever backtracked on an ati driver was when ati was having problems with lighting when you turned on night-vision in BF2:SF. x800xt AIW, btw.

some folks swear by third-party drivers--i've found they get the job done about as well as ati's, except that uninstalling them can be a pain.
