I have been using it since the thread came out now, and it works great for fixed targets. I'm getting to like taking out the commanders toys so easily.

You do have to play a bit thought with the J-10, F-18, and Mig, because the HUD points are slightly different. You need to drop earlier with the J-10 for example, since it has that short thick lower scale on the HUD.

I haven't used the single-bomb drop much, because I can't get a one-pass armor kill with it. I still dive bomb armor whenever possible, but when you have a target of opportunity advancing on your friendlies, it will still take a big chunk off him, and make him easy meat for the ground pounders.

this is an awesome tip. i never knew how to use the hud but i knew it was useful lol. anyway. i was wondering how do i stich the bomb 1 or bomb 2 drop modes? i actually thought my game was messing up becasue it would only drop 1 instead of 2 lol.

oh yeah, i also nede to know where ic an watch the precision 300m bombing tutorial. it said it at the end of the video, but i cant find it anywhere, google, youtube. :/

update, okay i tried this yesterday in an empty wake server and i had a hard time. I would either bomb before the static tank or after it. i fly at an alt of like 150. line up the green line and the green arc ont he tank and release a bomb. the video amkes it seem so easy but its not.

do i have to have the jet parallel to the ground as i drop the bomb? or should i pull up a bit and then drop the bomb. i did practice for about 20 minutes. i eventually hit the tank head on but it took smoe guess work.

Firstly, 20 minutes doesnt help. I made this video after i had put in almost 80 hours in the jets, so its taken a lot of practice to get that accurate.

secondly the jet should dive a little bit, youll probably notice in the vid i was never actually at 0* i was generally between 5-20* below the horizontal.

thirdly the 300m bombing vid (supposed to be 200m i made a spelling mistake lol, although it is close to 300m if you measure it properly :P) is here

Reviving this thread just for its awesomeness

I've been trying this for a couple weeks now and have gotten half way decent. I occasionally seem to miss by about 10 yards or so too far and can't seem to figure out how I'm overshooting.

I'll keep practicing.

ok, for the checks becasue it doesn't say; can you use that at any speed? any angle? and at any height upto 300 on ur HUD??? im a **** bomber and if so thatll help me bag loads

Reverse the process. With a full loadout, drop one, reload two, drop 2.

This was helpful but I agree with those who mention it only works flying level. My problem is I cannot divebomb worth ****, I always end up diving away from the target because I have trouble deciding when to arc down.

I've been trying for a while now in servers and just can't do it with the 2-bomb fighters... It does seem to work quite well with bombers, but then again, who can't hit something with those monsters?

I have always been the best bomber on wake..for some reason I never seem to cross some1 who knows this, so I am bombing the crap out of everything, including CO assets.

EDIT; I don't mean I'm the best I just mean no1 I ever see knows how to bomb "the right way".

Get 2 bombs in single mode, drop one of them, refuel so you get 2 bombs and drop them both....

Yeah, but HUD is less accurate with the 2 bomb mode...!

yeah.. well that only works for flying level.. and low.


On wake.. that = death.

Pretty useless in a real game. You need to learn to divebomb early and just fly back up.

Wrong. Double bombing works fine at large heights. (low enough to see the target, high enough for nobody to shoot you)
