    Lag problems

    my comp is:

    2.8 GHz
    512 mb RAM
    160 Gb
    Nvidia GeForce FX 5200

oh yeah, i play Project reality, this is when it gets laggy. i put everything on low, yet it still CTD's sometimes and is laggy as hell when im playing. its not my internet, im sure.

does anyone know what i can do?

ask for any more info if u need

Hey! I have that graphic card!, But i upgraded to a higher one. Your going to have to have more MB of RAM in order to run smooth in BF2, about 1GB or 2GB is better.

Yeah... project reality seems to be on the whole slightly more resource heavy than vanilla - mainly the maps with dense forests. The best thing I can suggest is to put another 512 or a gig of ram in there. That would make more difference than a new gfx card, and would be a lot cheaper. You'd really notice the difference.

If that's not possible, there are a few things you can check. Make sure your page file isn't limited to something tiny - that's a possible cause of the CTDs. Also make sure you have a few gig of free disk space and aren't running any other programs at the same time as BF2. Or you can look around the web for a bf2 specific tweaking guide, that will give you info on how to tweak your system and bf2 itself to get the best performance in game.
