vanilla is the term for "original" u get the unmodded, un pacthed BF2 + Sf expanion.

u will need to dowload patch 1.41 and install it

The only thing you are missing from the completely BF2 family is Armored Fury and Euro Forces. Avaliable in the BF2 Booster Pack. Usually at stores now or you can buy it online. About $20.

actually thats not entirely correct. the deluxe version installs at bf2 version 1.3. so it IS patched (to a degree).

i thoguht it was 1.2 or 1.21 or something.

i meant by unpatched is not installed with 1.41

SF forces you to patch to 1.21 whether your vanilla version be newer or older, as for the deluxe most likely the same. If its 1.3 though I'd burn it.
