What would you like to see in the next Battlefield Franchise Game.

For me...a true singleplayer campaign matched with a "balanced-off-the-start" multiplayer experience similar to what we have now.

Some little things, the ability to create your own character, height, weight, race, gender. It would be cool to see an RPG style ranking system, where not only do you get new weapons, but the ability to sprint longer, or hold more clips of ammunition. I already like what they tried to do with 2142, where you can mix and match your equipment with how you want to play the game(doesn't mean I'll buy it). Anyways, thought it would be fun to see what other people had to say. Who knows, this might leak to the mod community.

When your health goes down, you have two bars. One is your current health, and the other is the health which you can be healed too. EG you take a round in the chest, your health drops too a half, but you can only go back up to 3/4 from a medi pack instead of back to full health.

A bit more RPG-esque, I can agree with that, but don't turn it into World of Warcraft!

How about 256 player maps? :p

And a few more vehicles at bases, queuing is t3h g3h.

hmmm I dunno FPSs are getting boring and people who play online make it even more boring so............they should come up with something that will totaly change the gameplay, if BF2 maps were REALLY BIG and had alot of vehicles you think base raping would be a problem??

prolly not and the game would feel different

so yea bigger maps and more vehicles per map, imo BF2\2142 dont even feel l ike war games, other games like arma..I didnt even play that game yet but from all the videos I saw I think the game would fell really good

oh yea and dont you think the jets are a bit too slow, when you see a jet fly over in games like arma you know you saw a jet but seeing a J10 fly over in BF2 just doesnt feel right for some reason

Yeah, I can understand that(jets). ArmA does look amazing. But do you think EA will open 256 player servers?(Who knows, look what SOE did with PlanetSide, but that was Sony, a good publisher) Also, that constitutes having a good developing team, bigger maps mean more problems per map, and more patches. And we've seen what they've done with patches. Haha.

Another note. True infantry maps, there aren't any good infantry maps because non were originally made for infantry.

It would be nice to see more vehicles. Six or eight jets per team, huge dogfights. 4 v 4 chopper fights. Buggies driving in every direction.

To expand on the bigger maps...have one huge mini-map, say you wanna play some PLA maps. You see a huge mini-map of China, and by clicking on certain locations you can see how many people are there and what the action is like. I guess kind of like Planet Side.

256 would be cool but then not everyone would have fast enough computers to play smoothly. i think it will be another year before a gaming company perfects 256 man servers

yea and kinda make the game so that ur feeling safe while ur taking of with a chopper(for example) from your home base, a game where baseraping doesnt exist, I mean its not like its a really really big issue in BF2 but fights should eake place somewhere in the middle of the map, use the uncap to go back for repairs or something, know what I mean, while on the carrier and taking of with a cobra I have to keep my eyes wide open coz you never know whos gonna M95 you, ramm you, spawn rape you.......and so on

Funny thing about spawn raping...on servers where it says there's no spawn raping, people tend to do it, on servers where it's allowed, you see much less of it. At least in my experience.

I dunno, I see practically no difference in performance going from 16 players to 64 players, so it should be feasible. Whether servers can handle it, that's another thing altogether. Maybe having 2x Kentsfield cores and 32GB of RAM w/ a decent internet connection? :P

I dunno, I see practically no difference in performance going from 16 players to 64 players, so it should be feasible. Whether servers can handle it, that's another thing altogether. Maybe having 2x Kentsfield cores and 32GB of RAM w/ a decent internet connection? :P

well depends, try a racing game, u have 64 people on the map but they are all spread out, I have a racing game where I can play with up to 30 or even more players at the same time, my game lags while all the cars are on the starting grid but after we all get some distance from each other my frame rates go up

I guess it wouldnt be a problem on really big maps but put 100+ players on sharqi lol

I understand what your saying but that (in my opinion) would ruin any battlefield game they release. Not because it would be bad, just because most people play the battlefield series for their fast, multiplayer battles, instant gratifacation. Its funny how often I see people on Bf2 or 2142 get flamed for saying that WoW is fun/cool/best game ever/better graphics than BF2 (they were serious >.>) and get verbally T-bagged just because they voiced their opinion on a roleplay game, it wasnt WoW people were being negative about its the whole RPG experience. Besides, with the game engine as it is theres no way it could support what your talking about. EA is gonna have to make a new engine (which would be preferable) or maybe buy another good engine from another gaming company or something.

I would like to be able to dress my soldier in hats and change his hairstyle. I would like my soldier to be able to have a girlfriend and buy weapons which fire nothing but love. I want to be able to dress my soldier in leather chaps and go to the disco to dance with the other soldiers and sailors.

In summary, I want to see EA continue to violently bury the franchise.

A Game that doesn't CTD when I join and a game that doesn't need 30 thousand patches to make it fairly playable.
