Hard Drives and BF2

Ok, this is an amatuer question, but I'm looking into a new PC and would like to know..

Which of the 2 options below would be better for BF2 (and gaming in general):

• Serial ATA 1.5Gb/s Hard Drive (10,000RPM)
• Performance RAID 0 (2 x 320GB SATA 3Gb/s 7200RPM HDDs)

Specifically, I'm looking for faster map load times.

A faster RPM drive would probably perform better than a RAID setup in games, but I would just go with the two 320gb HDD's without RAID. Seagate's 7200.10 series is pretty fast anyway, even beating the Raptor in some benchmarks.

The difference between the Raptor and the 7200.10 is a few seconds, but I don't think that justifies the higher price and fewer GB of a Raptor.

That 320gb 7200.10 is $95 and the 150gb Raptor is $195

western digital is a cheap brand go for other brands

A couple of server admins posted findings here regarding a raid setup against a single Sata 10KRPM and the single sata drive was close enough to make the setup and cost difference not worth it.

Western Digital = ****. Just buy Seagate. That are the best hds out there. Maxtor isnt bad eiter. But i own 2 80GB WDs And they are nothin but trouble. I own one old 60GB Seagate never one problem..
