Repair shop is 2.2 km away. Can't get a ride, at least not from my family. I can't find anything to carry it in, and I'm afraid someone will just mug me. My school is 2.3 km away and I've walked from there to my house before. I have round 300$ cash. My comp randomly crashed on me and it won't start again. I also want to buy some RAM. What do I do? My dad bought the comp for me and I've never dealt with computer repairs and whatnot before. I need help.

Iunno actually. That's another thing. MAYBE because I set the windows registry to stop showing the Dr Watson's Postmortem Debugger error. There were some crashes after that, and I've never crashed before then. Otherwise, I need a... I dunno the name for one who is good with computer hardware.Comment

Re: Broken Comp
Where does it hang? If it doesn't boot at all, you need to flush the CMOS, open the computer, find the battery, and short the two jumper pins near it (it varies between motherboards but this is the most common way).
And also, DO NOT take it to a repair shop. Even the most clumsy, inept fool can repair a PC better than one of those. Your money is better spent on upgrades than being raped by a sly techie.Comment
