  • Dreadnaught project WIP

    H everyone
    It's been a very long time since I didnt model seriously, well since the Paintball mod got in ruins, I was trying to learn modelling techniques and practice... anyway always changed project without completing any of them. So I decided that it's time to make a improvement and learn for real.
    So I get helped by a tutorial and started this Dreadnaught project.
    It will consists of many parts : Lower leg, Upper leg, Pelvis, Engine, Arms, Main body.
    I just finished the very first one so I wanted to know what you guys think...

    Im pretty determined to get this project finished.

    Starting with the toes


    Building the lower leg structure


    Finalizing with the leg armour



    Wireframe, maybe useless cause there's way too much polys

      oK folks here some little updates :

      Upper legs done


      Pelvis completed and attached



      What is looks like so far. There's a overlap on the toes which will be fixed later


      Ready to proceed to the top part

        Well as I see, not very interesting topic.
        But anyway in case if you take a look there's the Engine lock support completed.

          Engine block done


          Main Body completed


          Ready to proceed to final step : Arms.

                Very nice,I'd like to try doing some stuff like this just to goof off a little,and maybe turn out with some decent stuff.

                What programs are there to use for modeling? Best i can do is 3d models for Gamemaker.lol

                  Lol what's that ?
                  Anyway im using Maya (http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet...112&id=7635018)

                  This is used principaly in movie industries but if for games, there's the very popular 3ds max.

                  BUt both are hard to acquire , im still a beginner
