Small question about patching to 1.4

If I install BF2 onto a new computer, do I simply need to download that big *** 1.4 patch and I'll be set to go?

Also, if I want to install SF, i'd have to re-install that big *** 1.4 patch?

Best do itin that order:
1. install bf2
2. install sf
3. patch to 1.41

Gunna need 1.41 and youll be set I'd just go straight to SF it is the best I like that xpack better.
