Yeah that would be pretty good. And where you say all armies on one map you mean like a three way?
Or you could link EU and USMC against PLA and MEC

All Chinese people have inexclipably vanished from the face of the Earth, leading to EU forces filling in the vacuum that is all Chinese strongholds, specifically Wake Island 2007. The US wanted Wake Island though, they've been trying to secure the bastard for bloody billions of rounds only for the whole thing to start again when they have actually managed it. As such, the US has once again sent a USMC taskforce to penetrate the island, remove the goddamned Metric system from signs and put an immediate cease to those STUPID voices.
:) . Now don't tell me that wouldn't be worth fighting for. You should write the mission briefings for Dice.

I was thinking about 1vs1 but yeah sure why not have 2vs2

Yes, it would be interesting to see 4 armies duke it out in a 64 player map. Mec vs USMC vs PLA vs EU. Each starting with 1 CP. When a team looses all their CP's, they are knocked out of the game leaving the remaining to fight.

sounds like a fun idea, but they might have trouble putting EU vs anybody b/c you have to buy Euro Force
              Good point.

Hey Vesuvan I thought you were banned. What happened?

More than 2 armies would probably require major modding if it is possible at all. Having a server setting to change the armies is almost certainly not possible without code changes from EA/DICE. You can, however, fairly easily make a copy of each map with the armies changed. I did this with Sharqi Peninsula to change the USA to the attacking side and MEC to the defenders. You could just as easily make it USA vs. China or MEC vs. China. You just change the armies in server.zip\init.con and change the vehicles in server.zip\gamemodes\...\GamePlayObjects.con. To have multiple copies of the same map available you'll need to rename them which is not trivial; see http://battlefieldsingleplayer.plane...showtopic=2998 .

That's what I'm talking about. I'm kinda suprised that you tell me it's easy because in that case I really don't know why it's not an option to change the armies around a litte. Would it be possible to have EU against MEC'S on Sharqi (without major modding)?

Depends on what you call major modding. You could probably do it in less than an hour if you did it all correctly the first time. Note that including the EU vehicles (not the soldiers) means you'd need to copy them from the EF maps since they are embedded there instead of in a separate zip like SF and AF use. You also couldn't distribute such a map since you aren't allowed to distribute EF content that can be used by people who don't own EF. The soldiers/kits/handheld weapons are in the base BF2 since patch 1.2 so those can be used with no problem.

If you use only non-EF vehicles you could just distribute the server.zip part of the map or even just the init.con and gameplayobjects.con files and people could add them to the server.zip themselves. Should probably also change the map description in info\<mapname>.desc to indicate what changes have been made. Maybe create a new loading picture to match the new armies too (I haven't bothered to do this).
