Problem with command and conquer generals

when i click exit the game freezes but the mouse is still movable yet the game does not exit. wtf. was working fine earlier

i have re-installed it and it exits but now the Zero Hour expansion pack won't work, i click the icon game picture pops up then disapears but the game dont start this is sorta anoying.

uninstall the game & then delete any entries the game made in the registry. Start, run, regedit OK, then open up hkey local machine software & scroll till u find any C&C entries, highlight & click the del key on the keyboard, do this for hkey current user software, Now reinstall the game.
