AA emplacements, the line brakers or 'mobile AA' as they will be known while spotted. The easiest way to get this bade is to sit in the AA as commander and arty. These will count as five AA kills. Though this is looked down on by some people, though i dont give a **** TBH.
There is the one in the sandbags that has usally 2 missles I beleive then there is the air def that is a vehical like the linebacker and PGZ i think or you could stay in the USS thing on the carrier.
Easiest way I did it was to command on wake as USMC sit in the BIG guns on the Essex (the big ship) and command from there. Probably best to do it in the gun in the middle. You should get all 3 awards in one good round.
I got my air defense by sitting in the Bradley and.... wait, I never got anything above basic. Well I got my basic by sitting in the AA gun for 10 minutes and shooting at clouds... pretty hard to get, but I toughed it out

Hey buddy- this one worked very well- I managed to get the bronze badge AND the veteran (silver) badge for air defense (including the ribbon) within 2 rounds:
1. Find a server running a few rounds of Kubra Dam and join the MEC team.
2. Spawn at the construction site immediately and grab the Tunguska (MEC AA vehicle)
3. Take the Tunguska to the Dam. Now you will see parts of the bridge where there are wooden boards put up- these things actually block most missiles and bombs, in addition to that, there's a big concrete column right with the boards- use them as total cover for when things get really rough.
The dam has the vantage point of being one of the highest locations in the game other than the hills and the cranes, but also has the benefits of all around cover whilst offering almost 360 degrees of view of the air.
Once you sight enemy aircraft shoot the missile JUST before it locks on (but make sure the missile you fired will approximately intercept the aircraft). The Tunguska also has the fastest firing AA cannons, where the Linebacker's cannon does not seem to be for firing at aircraft at all.
Im sure its in the rules but pls dont make threads Entitled "question ??????" or other unhelpfull titles like "lol" or "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!". they may stand out but they dont help anyone understand what the thead is about. a more sensible title could have been "Air Defence Badge Help" or "Need Help With Air Defence" .. somthing along those lines
Tip for taking out heli's and planes with stingers and Stingers/Tunguska etc. When you lock on wait for them to drop the flares..move the sites up above the plane/heli so it is no longer locked on then move back down (this should all take about 2 seconds) as the flares fall, when you move the sites back down it will lock back on to the heli/plane and not the flares:)
Works well, only problem is it takes 3 stingers to take out fighter heli or a plane!!!
