dvd exploding

My disc is just after exploding in my drive while I was browsing the net.

I noticed when I first got the disc that there was a small fracture line extending from the hole in the middle to the beginning of the disc label. This is exactly where the disc failed.

Unfortunately this means I have to contact EA. Again.

Past experience has taught me that they are very unhelpful and I wonder what my chances of a replacement are.

Has anyone else had this happen to them?

I believe that EA will send you replacements for a fee, its smaller than the retail price but still pretty stupid, check their website.

Yeah it totally shattered in my drive. EA want to charge me £7 for a replacement even though the fracture line was on the disc when I got it.

I'll try that **** image and let you know how I get on.

noooo would people stop talking about ***** patchs PB will ban you for using them as they change the values of the BF2.exe.

Trailbreaker83 if you have Special Forces you can use that disk to authenticate instead of your normal BF2 disk so you can at least play but that wont help you if you have to patch or reinstall.

Cool, the image with Daemon worked perfectly and I can now play the game again.
