First off system specs:
Intel 3.4 GHz prescott processor with HT
Ram: Corsair 3 GB XXL latency
Video: Asus GeForce 6800 Ultra w/ 256 MB (AGP bus)
Sound: Sound Blaster Audigy Gamer
Temps are good (46 C on processor, 39 in chassis)
Power supply is good, no voltage drops.
Upon patching from 1.4 to 1.41 the stuttering has re-appeared.
I've reset my video settings to what they were prior to patch and re-optimized shaders after clearing out cache to make sure. The stuttering happens when I try to do a quick turn and it's preventing me from doing QCB combat.
I'm using the PCI latency tool and have followed all steps in the FAQ and tweakguides, optimizing windows and making sure my drives are not in PIO mode.
Pretty much, the system OUGHT to run it like it did in 1.4 without stuttering, but the patch broke it somehow.
I have EAX disabled and am running software sound.
Any suggestions to try?
