    Which one!?!?!?!?!?

With only 10 days until christams, I need to work out which new graphics card i want. But being completely stupid in this area i need some help! To put it simply, I need to know which one is "the best", taking into account price range no more than £200 if possible, and also performance wise (I will have by then 2 gigs of ram and 2.2 ghz athalon 3500+)

    Thanks

You're sure this x1950xt is out of reach? 144 British monetary unit-things, total of 170 after you dip in a vat of some kind. :-)

Pretty much every comparison puts the 7950 just ahead of the x1950 and its a bit cheaper to boot.

                            1) It's your British monetary units that are in question! If you don't do some homework, you'll end up unsatisfied no matter what you buy! Quick notes:

--core speed is how fast the brain on the gpu can think
--memory speed represents how fast the card can access information
--memory interface is how "wide" the highway is that the data travels on; 256bit is a minimum for a higher end gaming card. again, this moves data around the card faster.
--the amount of memory (256/512mb) is only starting to show some significant impacts in SOME games.

                            2) Shhh...you aren't supposed to talk about the top secret 9950 GT yet.

More seriously, I'm guessing you meant 7950gt? If so, here's a review of the Powercolor x1950xt (same specs, same board, different name on top) that might answer your question:
