can a VGA monitor work on a DVI Graphics card?

hi, i have a monitor that only has a VGA type of connector, and i was wondering if it is possible to connect it to a DVI Only Graphics card. By using a connector thing.

is this possible?
if i did this would it affect Battlefields 2 performance, or my graphics performance? thats all

yes it works just fine, most cards come with a converter. You should see no detremental performance effects.

make sure to have a cable that goes from vga to dvi ..and there should be no performance loss...dvi just gives better/sharper image quality but i cant tell a diff
