They should definitly remake it with all the vehicles and maps but with far better graphics and a new engine.

1942 is still the best game in the BF series. However I am afraid if Dice was allowed to make it today... they would screw it up (Like George Lukas did with new Star Wars) with stats, unlocks, UAV, crappy vehicle coding, crappy gun coding, and in general horrible gameplay with only 8 maps (They have taken away 2 maps with each new BF release, started with 16 and down to 10 now...)

If they do it... they need to make it a lot like the original in terms of gameplay, maps, and such. However they need to at least DOUBLE the amount of original maps to 32 leaving us about 8 maps per theater of war. :)

Wait wait, not yet! Just 3 hours ago I bought original BF1942. I never owned it and I played only few times. Now EA has released BF1942 Anthology product containing and both expansion packs Road to Rome and Secret Weapons of WWII. Cost only 12€.

I'm really anxious to see is it so good as all are saying.

By the way does anyone know any good server in Europe where this is still playing?

the kit was less dominant than the sniper kit on bf2
