Just because there isnt a news release doesnt mean its not in the making. Heck I bet the first day BF2142 came out they started BF3.

I like this girl from college right, we had a little party today, kinda got to talk a little with her right, but I didn't ask her for her phone number, didn't have the balls to do it, so I'm just hating myself because of this now, reason is we've two weeks off! :@ I won't see her for 2 weeks, and I like her, and this really sucks.

There is a BF3, but thats not what there calling it. Battlefield: Bad Company. At this point its not for the PC, only for the 360 and PS3 in 2007. But it is likely a similar version will come out for the PC maybe by a different name and not for another year and half, so 2008 maybe. Speculation is delicious.

Yea, looks like the new FPS games are taking on a Crysis design. I noticed there have been a few images similar to this, but with other characters, for other games (such as Crysis):
