Cant play Single Player. Help Please?

Every time i go to Single player, and choose a map, it would start to load another map, then while it loads, the game crashes. Same thing happens when i create a local server. I uninstalled BF2 like 3 times already and reinstalled, but still have the same problem.

Can someone tell me whats my problem for i can start playing Single Player again?

560MB of downloading? I heard that most of it is just ads of 2142... I really need it? Because i currently have 1.40

So i should recommend downloading it?

?? you still mean 1.41? Why would a bf2 patch have 2142 stuff. Just download 1.41 and you can play online...

Nope, i installed 1.41 and still crash to desktop
