have you found that recently bf2 has gotten old and redundant? (Even if not, still do this) go into your desk/box/ place of choice with old games. my choice just so happened to be BF1942(spectacular game by the way). now what you do...you take that game, and you play it for a day or two as much as you can. then you switch to another retro game (C&C renegade) and play a ton of that. by the time you are finished playing those games, you go back to your BF2 server of choice and you will soon find that its as fun to play as the day you opened the box.

Can't beat playing older games. Screw amazing graphics and give me better gameply.

Can get boring, i've been playing a lot of Spec forces recently as normal BF2 was getting a bit.......merrrr:) if you know what i mean.
Found a copy of Max Payne 2 the other day.....old but good.

Or join some community, like the European Battlefield Command and fight some truly amazing battles that are organised, that don't have idiots ruining your game etc. I played in the PoE2 campaign (5th they've organised) and the hectic pubby play no longer appeals to me.

I did that with Halo. BF2 was getting kinda stale, so loaded up Halo, and owned for a while. But after playing Halo for a while, I started to realize why I stopped playing it and went back to BF2 and had some more fun.

When I get bored/frustrated with BF2, I normally switch to SF, and vice versa. If I'm bored of both though, then I normally load up Steam and play Day of Defeat: Source or, rarely, CSS.

UGH, I am .. I am bored with Nade spamming, jet whoring, dumb ****'s who punish for accidental TK's and etc., I might download SilkRoad Online. (SRO.) Is it any good?

Vanilla BF2 got old quick, but I am still having a great time with SF right now, and love the maps a lot more. Also the players seem to be better and easier to work with in SF over Vanilla BF2.

I still pull out Doom2, Quake1-3, StarCraft, and AOKII all the time. It is a nice change up, but I still love BF2.

It is nice to go over to mods now and then, but I find that just jumping over to AF/EF or SF helps break up the monotony of the game. You can find decent players now and then in boosters.

But hey, there are two titles coming in the next couple months that are really going to give BF2 a fight. QuakeWars and Armed Assault.

BF2 got boring when you can't jump and shoot,no squad hoping, etc etc
